Post Rock Extension District Welcomes New Agent

Nora Rhoades has joined the staff of the K-State Research and Extension – Post Rock District, as a family and youth development extension agent. She is based out of the Mankato office.

Rhoades worked previously as a 4-H program coordinator for the Post Rock District in the Smith Center office and for the University of Nebraska – Kearney as a graduate assistant and graduate hall director. Her previous work experiences included working with youth families and volunteers

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education from University of Nebraska -Lincoln and is completing her Master of Science in Education – School Counseling.

 

Family and youth development agents develop and deliver programs to support successful families and the systems that serve them in communities including family systems, communication in couples, parenting, child and youth development.

Extension agents are jointly employed in a partnership between K-State Research and Extension, headquartered on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, and the local Extension board.
